Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Bishkek
- Upon your arrival in Bishkek, you will be transferred to the city and check into the hotel by 14:00.
- After a brief rest, embark on a fascinating sightseeing tour that includes Oak Park, Ala-Too Square, the Philharmonic Hall, the Statue of Manas, Victory Square, and the vibrant Oriental market – Osh Bazaar.
- Following lunch, journey to the breathtaking Ala-Archa National Park (40 km). This alpine gorge, with its fast-flowing Ala-Archa River, tall snow-covered peaks, and fir-forested slopes, sets the stage for a delightful hike from the Alpine camp (2200 m) to the majestic "Ak-Sai" waterfall (35 m) at an elevation of 2700 m above sea level.
- Conclude the day with a transfer back to Bishkek and an overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02: Bishkek – Shamshy Pass
- After an early breakfast, depart Bishkek for Shamshy Gorge (3-hour drive).
- En route, visit the Burana Tower architectural complex (10th-11th centuries, Great Silk Road).
- Meet horsemen and guides’ team in Shamshy Gorge.
- Enjoy a picnic lunch and start horseback riding toward Shamshy Pass (3,570 meters).
- Dinner and overnight stay in tents before the pass.
Day 03: Shamshy Pass – Sarala Saz Jailoo
- After breakfast, cross the Shamshy Pass (3,570 meters).
- Descend to Sarala-Saz Jailoo, enjoying views of the Kara Moinok and Sandyk Mountains.
- Welcome tea in a yurt, followed by dinner and overnight stay with local shepherds in their yurt.
Day 04: Sarala Saz Jailoo – Iyri Suu
- Traverse wide-open pastures to the Iri Suu area.
- Enjoy dinner in Iri-Suu Jailoo and an evening walk to the Kashka-Suu River valley to spot wild rhubarb and the alpenglow on the mountains.
- Overnight stay in tents.
Day 05: Iyri Suu – Buchuk Pass – Soak Valley
- After breakfast, traverse the western end of the Kochkor Valley through scrubby terrain.
- Cross the Karakol River and climb 1,000 meters over the Buchuk Pass (3,400 meters).
- Enjoy a trail lunch and descend into the scenic Soak Valley.
- Overnight stay in tents.
Day 06: Soak Valley – Koldu Suu Jailoo – Kyzart Pass
- Begin the day with a detour to the Kum Bel Valley, ascending the 3,600-meter Kum Bel Pass.
- Take in panoramic views from the peak (3,656 meters).
- Descend into the Kolduu Suu Valley, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a yurt near Kyzart Pass.
Day 07: Kyzart Pass – Kilemche
- Horseback ride to Kilemche, crossing the Kyzyl-Kiya Pass (3,000 meters).
- Lunch in the Chaar-Archa Valley with views of the 4,400-meter Baba-Ata Mountain.
- Continue to Kilemche Jailoo for dinner and overnight stay in a yurt.
Day 08: Kilemche – Song Kol Lake (Zhaman Echki)
- Ascend to Jalgyz Karagai Pass (3,400 meters) and enter the Song Kol Lake basin.
- Enjoy lunch and leisure time by the lake.
- Overnight stay in a yurt, experiencing local dishes such as fermented mare’s milk.
Day 09: Song Kol Lake (Zhaman Echki) – Song Kol Lake (Batai Aral)
- Spend the day horseback riding (4-6 hours) along the lake.
- Immerse yourself in the nomadic lifestyle and, if weather permits, swim with the horses.
- Overnight stay in a yurt with dinner.
Day 10: Song Kol Lake (Batai Aral) – Kochkor – Bishkek
- After breakfast, transfer by car to Bishkek (7-hour drive).
- Stop for lunch in Kochkor before continuing to Bishkek.
- Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant and free time in Bishkek.
Day 11: Bishkek – Airport
